The mold we have developed at Chitwing (designed and manufactured) offers several notable features. It has undergone a transformation from a 2x hot runner valve gate system to a cold runner pin point gate system, accompanied by a custom mold base. The mold has a moderate size of 450 X 500 X 566mm and a net weight of 600kg, making it suitable for use with a 180T machine.
This mold incorporates 4 slides and 27 lifters, resulting in a short cycle time. It is designed to be free of cold slug issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. Additionally, the mold has been optimized for a tool life of 500K shots, providing long-lasting performance.
Constructed from steel with a hardness of > 40HRC, the mold exhibits excellent anti-wearing and anti-dent properties. This ensures its durability and reliability throughout its lifespan.
